MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour Party Presented by Indmar Marine Engines

For the last 25 years, Indmar Marine Engines and the MasterCraft Boat Company have worked together to push the envelope, much like an athlete, introducing new innovations and technologies, enabling the sport of wakeboarding to progress and grow. To celebrate 25 years of innovation, Indmar and MasterCraft will host the 2010 MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour Party at the Bijou Theater in downtown Knoxville on Saturday, Aug. 14th.

The Party will take place immediately following the conclusion of the season-ending contest, held at Volunteer Landing, just three blocks south of the Theater. Doors to the Bijou Theater will open at 9 p.m., and the general public is invited to join the athletes in the festivities.

Also attending the Party is Manuel Montoya, the lucky winner of Indmar’s MasterCraft 25th Anniversary Get¬-a-Way package. Montoya and his guest have won an exclusive getaway to attend the Party in Knoxville and a CWB Faction board setup, including bindings, rope, vest and accessories

During the Party, awards will be presented to the winning athletes in Knoxville, as well as the overall Pro Men and Jr. Pro Men champions. Rookie of the Year honors for the Pro Men’s division will also be presented.

In addition to the awards, the Party will feature drinks and an end of the season video, highlighting some of the most memorable moments on the 2010 MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour.

Indmar Marine Engines Named Title Sponsor Of Division 1 Show Ski National Championships

USA Water Ski is pleased to announce that Indmar Marine Engines has been named the title sponsor of the 2010 Division 1 Show Ski National Championships. The 36th annual Indmar Marine Engines Division 1 Show Ski National Championships will be held Aug. 13-15 at South Wood County Park on Lake Wazeecha in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.

Indmar Marine Engines has remained the world’s largest privately held manufacturer of gasoline powered inboard marine engines for more than 30 years. For more information, visit www.indmar.com.

“Indmar touches the lives of water skiers and families across the United States year after year,” said Steve Upp, USA Water Ski’s director of business development and partnerships. “Not only has Indmar changed the way the sport is powered, the company is a true believer in the athletes and has always made sure the athletes are funded through Indmar’s sponsorship.”

Hosted by the Aqua Skiers and the National Show Ski Association, the Show Ski Nationals will feature 14 teams and more than 1,500 athletes competing for the coveted show ski national title.
In competitive show skiing, each club has one hour to present a theatrical performance on water skis. Judges score the acts by awarding points based on execution, difficulty, spectator appeal and flow. Elaborate costumes and staging intermix with music and fast action on the water as an announcer leads the audience through the show. The Show Ski National Championships also features athletes competing individually in adagio doubles, swivel, freestyle jumping and multi-jumping acts. For the running order of events, visit www.USAWATERSKI.org.

For the third consecutive year, the team competition on Saturday (Aug. 14) and Sunday (Aug. 15) will be available for viewing via a live Webcast. To view the Webcast, visit http://waterski.teamusa.org/live.

The National Show Ski Association is one of nine sport discipline organizations of USA Water Ski, which was formed in 1939 as a non-profit organization promoting water skiing in the United States. USA Water Ski is affiliated with the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (world governing body) and is recognized by the United States Olympic Committee and Pan-American Sports Organization as the national governing body of organized water skiing in the United States.
